Size without obstruction — capacity is not bound by physical dimension
Li Bo, Tang-dynasty prefect of Jiangzhou, doubted “a mustard seed holds Mt. Sumeru”. Master Zhichang replied by pointing at Li Bo himself — a human head is no larger than a coconut, yet it holds ten thousand books. Capacity is not bound by physical dimension; it depends on the nature of what is contained.
A disciple of the Buddha tried to still a raging river with Mt. Sumeru itself and failed; yet when the Buddha lightly dropped a single grain of rice, the river grew quiet — one grain of rice had accumulated immeasurable merit from seeding to ripening, and a single reverent thought equates the small with Mt. Sumeru.

(To see a world in a grain of sand),指出东西方哲学在”微小中蕴含无限”这一洞见上的会通。
