Neutral governance body for open-source technology — current host of the A2A protocol
The A2A protocol, developed by Google, was donated to the Linux Foundation for neutral governance — keeping the protocol out of any single vendor’s hands, encouraging multi-party participation and contribution, and aiming to make A2A a true industry standard. This is the canonical path for open-protocol evolution — cf. Kubernetes, which moved from a Google-internal project to CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) and became the industry standard for container orchestration.
